My name is Veronica Bersani (MPH, RDN, LDN) and I'm a Registered Dietitian and Culinary Nutritionist.
My current work consists of teaching healthy cooking classes, nutrition education seminars and one-on-one counseling to individuals and corporations.
Prior to becoming a Registered Dietitian, I received a degree in Business and worked in corporate America for 10 years, mainly the pharmaceutical industry. I quickly worked my way up the ladder working unlimited hours and weekends, then I realized I had no passion for my job and money did not bring me happiness!
I decided to take the plunge and start a new career journey. While pharmaceuticals can save lives, I was more interested in preventing the need for these medications, which led to my nutrition journey. While pursuing my master's degree and working, in 2014, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, also known as a Gluten Allergy/Intolerance. Simply put, no foods made with made with Wheat, Rye or Barley! What?! Completely rocked my world - food choices, eating out, cooking, and everything in between! It forced me to get in the kitchen and cook!
Today, I am a better dietitian and culinary nutritionist, more sensitive to the unique dietary needs of others. My mission is to educate others about the critical role nutrition plays in chronic illness and disease while helping them to reach their personal health goals one step at a time.
